Yesterday Nylabear had her shots, and we were anticipating a long, sleepless night. She nursed/fed last night around 7 and then promptly fell asleep. No big deal, she usually takes a little nap, then wakes up for her last hoorah of the day, then knocks out for a few hours. We put Nyla in her swing for her little nap and didn't think anything of it.
The nurse said that Nyla would be sleepy from the shots and the blood-curdling crying she did at the doctor's office. So when Nyla was sleepy, we didn't wonder about anything. That is until she was still sleeping (and snoring) at 9 last night. And still sleeping at 10. We decided that we would head off to bed and Paul would get up with her when she inevitably woke up in about an hour. This was a great plan, except she didn't wake up. Our Nylabear didn't wake up until 4:00 A.M. and we had to wake her up! She slept from 7:30 to 4 last night! Wow!
If I would have known she was going to sleep for almost 9 hours, I would have gone to bed at 7:30 with her! She woke up just a happy and hungry little girl. A little fussiness, but nothing like we were anticipating at all! Her legs are still a little tender, but she is feeling significantly better than yesterday. Hooray!
I can't wait to get home and snuggle with her. She was so irritable yesterday that she didn't want to be messed with at all. AT ALL. So it was a no-snuggle day yesterday. But tonight, it's on! I've got two days of stored up kisses and hugs for my babygirl tonight! YAYAYAYAYAYYAAY
