A little disaster of an evening is what we're having tonight. While burping Nyla, she started to spit up. While spitting up, she also started to drop a deuce. Outstanding. So now we have two smelly bodily functions going at the same time: baby formula barf, which smells like rotten mashed potatoes, and just vile baby poop. How delicious.
Our Nylabear isn't feeling very hot tonight, though. Today she went in for her shots at the doctor. Paul took her and had to hold her while the nurse injected her. He said that she screamed...bloody murder, complete with crocodile tears. I'm happy that Paul had to do this and not me because I would have cried uncontrollably and probably would have assaulted the nurse. Needless to say, she's feeling a little out of sorts tonight. We can't put much pressure on her thighs because they're pretty tender and she cries if they're touched. Poor babygirl. Tonight is going to be all about snuggling our girl to let her know that we are here for her. I'm not going to be surprised if I sleep on the couch with her.
On the plus side, we got her weight and height today. She is 14lbs 3oz (normal for her age) and 25 inches long! Wow! The doctor says that she is at the top of the percentile for height, meaning she's very long/tall for her age! Hooray!
Nylabear, I hope you feel better soon. Mommy and Daddy don't like seeing you in pain. :(
