I Was Peed On

The title says it all; I was peed on. Thank you, Nyla, for sharing yourself with me.

Apparently when homegirl has a lot to drink, she can drown her diaper. Lovely. I had Nyla happily sitting on my lap and she was giggling and smiling; I should have known! Next thing I knew, it got really hot underneath her butt. "Oh Elizabeth, she's peeing in her diaper" was my train of thought. But alas, when I stood up, she had not only peed in her diaper but all over me. Awesome. What's even better is that I didn't have a change of clothes since we were driving back from Milton-Freewater...my clothes were buried under the mountain of baby stuff we packed in the car. There is nothing more enjoyable than driving 4 hours with baby pee on your clothes.

Speaking of traveling with a baby, why is it that the baby needs eight thousand bags packed for a trip? It's like we can't leave the house without absolutely everything. We have to have nine outfits for every type of weather, which equals out to about 11,542 outfits. Bottles, different nipples, burp cloths, Pack-N-Play, Baby Bjorn, formula, wipes, more clothes, thick blankets, thin blankets, blankets for laying on the floor, blankets for snuggling with her, blankets for if aliens land on Earth...EVERYTHING is packed. It's crazy. And of course, when you think you have everything packed, something is forgotten. For us, we didn't necessarily forget something(this time), but we realized that there is one more thing to add to our baby travel kit: the baby swing. We MUST take a baby swing with us traveling. It's where our Nylabear naps, so without it...it can be disastrous.
