Whew! It has been a whirlwind four days with our Nyla girl. We just moved, leaving Lincoln City for the Portland-area for hopefully the last time. Hopefully no more moving...at least for a year or two. Trying to pack and load a house to move with a 3-month-old is ridiculous. RIDICULOUS. What used to be both of us working together has now turned into Paul packing and moving everything while I stay with the baby. She did wonderful as daddy was slaving away (haha), but of course she doesn't want to have a bottle when there's anything to sit on in the house! Nyla was calm and cool all the way through loading the truck until the last piece of furniture was loaded...then the screaming started. Homegirl was hungry. Having nothing to sit on, I had to feed our babygirl while sitting on the toilet. On. The. Toilet. You do what you have to do, right? Baby had to eat, so I just slammed the toilet seat down, plopped down, and fed the girl!
Now we are happily moved and around family, so life is good.
Nyla's newest development, on top of the constipation and love of spitting down my boobs, is drool. Oh my, the drool. We almost have to change her outfit every few hours because it gets soaked. She is gnawing on her hands, sucking on our clothes, playing with her tongue all the time. Part of me thinks she's just amazed with her newfound body parts; a bigger part of me thinks she's cutting a tooth. Yes, it may be early, but you must know--my husband was born with not one, but two teeth. He came out of the womb with teeth!
Also, Nyla's new favorite thing is to continue pooping after we have removed her diaper. How lovely. She's done it multiple times in the last week. We're happy that she's pooping on a regular basis now, but come on Nyla. Let's finish it IN the diaper, then we'll change.
So now here we are: a happy family of four (Okie counts!), living in a wonderful area, spending the week with my in-laws, and we have our darling drooly baby. Hooray!
